About

Picture

We Are LAB,
formerly the Radical Admin Collective, was formed in 2019 by Lucy Heard and Bee Golding.

Based in Bristol, Lucy and Bee are freelance arts administrators and producers with a wide range of artistic practices including creative writing, improvised performance and participatory art. They combine professional expertise with playful curiosity, creating human-centred spaces where ideas, people and projects can flourish.

Advocates of radical work, rest and play, they provide strategic and creative support for artists while also developing creative projects of their own. Both have long been the “behind the scenes” people in organisations - the nameless ones who help creatives do their work. Through We Are LAB, they recognise and value their own creativity, integrating it into both their arts administration and artistic practice.

We Are LAB is a joyful, female-led project. Their approach blends facilitation, creative administration and playful experimentation, supporting artists and communities to reflect, connect and bring their ideas to life - whether through participatory experiences, reflective workshops or improvised performance.
